Customer Care

Customer Care

Once you have completed your purchase of your Bayfield Home you are automatically enrolled into a ten-year warranty scheme, with the first 2 years covered by Bayfield Homes.

On the completion day, we will take the time to walk you around your new home, talk you through the mechanical systems and discuss any initial queries you may have. We know you might have questions in the first few months, so our team based at our Head Office and on site will be on hand to assist. This means you have someone close by who can pop round to give you another demonstration of how any of the homes’ systems or features work and to help with any other questions. This will be the case for the first 2 years.

After that, your cover is provided by the warranty company for another eight years, giving you protection for 10 years after you’ve moved in.

Sustainability

New homes and buildings in England will have to produce significantly less CO2 under new rules announced by the government to help the country move towards net zero future.

Our choices of materials and the sustainable sourcing of these is carefully considered for every one of our new sites and we look to reduce carbon impact wherever we can viably do so.

Already, our new homes are powered and heated by electricity. Heat is generated by low carbon Air Source Heat Pumps, complimented by highly thermal windows & doors. Our homes are efficient spaces to lower energy costs and help deliver the UK’s climate change ambitions.

Our new developments will endeavour to achieve a positive environmental legacy by achieving Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) across all land holdings. We also look carefully at all our new schemes to ensure that we retain as much landscaping as feasible, incorporating these into our designs. Wildflower seeding to open spaces, maintaining and enhancing ecological pathways and Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems (SUDS) are all features we employ in our approach to placemaking.

At Bayfield we have developed have a system of corporate governance that will allow continual self-assessment and reporting to ensure we develop robust and clear strategies for the future. Future proofing and ensuring we remain an environmentally responsible business are key aims for our business.

We will continue to improve what we do at Bayfield, forward progress above all else is key to a sustainable future.

Our Mission

  • Plant a new tree for every new home built.

  • Aim to deliver each new home ‘defect free’.

  • Aim for carbon off-set for office functions by 2026.

  • New approach to Corporate and Social Responsibility to include – school initiatives for local sites, greater consultation on new sites and construction processes.

  • Promote best practice energy saving measures with our new customers, office staff and partners.

  • To ensure staff well-being remains at the heart of what we do.

  • Always act in good faith and treat all our partners and consumers with respect, honesty and integrity.

  • Consider all perspectives in all we do.

Working with Neighbours

At Bayfield we recognise that one of the most important stakeholders in the planning and development process are neighbours and those directly affected by the work we do.

We understand that you will have to live with the implications of our proposals both during the construction process and thereafter in perpetuity. We recognise that our work and actions can disturb, impact and affect. We want to limit that as much as we can.

We can’t always take a problem away, but we can try! And we can certainly endeavour to mitigate wherever possible.

As builders of new homes we do have a great many policies and requirements to meet, both in planning and delivery. These can sometimes conflict with each other and will not always work well for either of us. Notwithstanding these obligations we will endeavour to act honourably and respond quickly to requests for information and concerns.

We have created a set of ‘rules’ by which we will try to act in our dealings with those directly affected by our proposals and these are;

We will endeavour to:

1.      Be honest, respectful and understanding in our dealings with you

2.      Pro-actively address any potential issues in our approach to planning and designing new development sites

3.      Engage, listen and act upon information that you give us

4.      Show you how our proposals meet planning policy and how have addressed concerns raised

5.      Work hard to balance the demands of commerciality with statutory obligations, policy requirements, local concerns and known issues

6.      Keep you informed of our proposals, working practices and delivery timescales

7.      Listen and act on concerns raised during the construction process and find solutions where possible

8.      Always try and do better

We can’t be perfect, there is no such thing. We can however try……

If you feel we aren’t living up to these rules or that we should be doing better then contact us on either 01263 836489 or info@bayfieldhomes.co.uk
